As an Educator......

Heather was an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition.  She was also part-time faculty in the Exercise Science Department at Chatham University and has taught introductory nutrition concepts to nursing students at Carlow University. Her resignation from the University and academia came with the growth of her private practice.  Now, Nutrition CheckUp is a placement site for students at the University of Pittsburgh, providing learning experiences and hands-on experience for future dietetics students.  Her resignation from teaching HH
